Anyone used this need help

    Hi i recently bought some autoglym tar remover from halfords. I applyed it to the bottom of my car by dabbing it then left it for 1-2 mins just as the instructions stated. I then went back to wash it off and it made no difference am i doing it wrong or is this product crap. I have so many black spots on the bottom of my car i just want to get rid of them.

    put some on a cloth then rub it over the area

    i did do tht but dnt know if your ment to rub it really hard. Anyone had any experience of it.

    yes mate rub it hard i have used it before but i use clay bar now

    can it damage your paintwork at all

    i'd use petrol mate, it takes off all the paint's protection though so unless you're going to polish, seal, glaze, wax i wouldnt bother but it does come straight off with zero effort.
