Hi, I'm after some help.

My gears dont seem to want to engage when the engine is cold, could this be due to the oil? If so can I drain and re-fill? What oil would be best?

Saxo Westcoast 1999.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

mines sometimes like this i think alot of saxos are

check to see if you have any oil in first you might just need a top up

just use gearbox oil

98 R reg VTR about to die

My car developed its own choice of gears but only over a period of 4 weeks till I lost them all. Couldnt get 1st and reverse just crunched. So after getting stuck at the lights I could only get 5th and had to ride the clutch. Something started burning like never before. I got home and started it later on and the same burning only after a clutch adjustment. Now I'm guttd, no car and no ide of the way forward. Please guys any ideas? Does anyone know how to gauge your oil levels in the gearbox?? Also the circuit for central locking, interior and boot light keeps blowing. I know that if I remove the central locking interface, no more blown fuses. Now I got a toad RCL alarm with nowt remote at all. Obviously a bad earth, where do I start looking? Please spare me 2 mins to pass on your thoughts. I'd appreciate it guys.
