Jet washing engine???

   I have a nice oil leak coming from my engine but the bloke who had it b4 me just left it so now there is oil everywhere and cant see where its coming from.
   
   can i jet wash the engine and do i need to be carful when doing so?
   
   i think i heard i should leave the engine running just incase?
   
   not sure if thats right

   make sure that u disconnect the battery. im not sure about other electricals. have you googled how to clean a engine?

   Steam cleaning is more suitable/safe.
   
   People have jet washed before though and not had issues. Not something id risk personally electrics and water shouldnt mix

   If I was to ever just wash the engine I would disconnect the battery and after washing leave it for like a week to dry completely
   
   But I still wouldnt risk it!

   Not sure mate but you can pick steam cleaners up for as little as £45

   id go for steam mate as jet washing cud cause all sorts of problems
