door lock latch

   change of question:
   
   how do i remove the latch?
   
   i have noticed there are three screws holding it to the door
   the rod that links the latch the the interior handle
   now what i need to know is:
   
   how do you disconnect if from the exterior door handle(i know its a rod but how do you get it off? and how do you get it back on???)
   and how do you remove the black motor from the lock assambly?

   i undid the 3 screws holding the whole assembly in place but i cant get it out how do you disconnect the latch and lock whole thing which bars been to be disconnected etc

   am i right in thinking it goes like this:
   door lock(by removing the retaining plate the rod to the interor handle and then the 3 screws?)

   are u on about the massive white block? the bit where wire plug into? if so i think it just unclipspull towards or away and it comes out

   no the little black motor which is in each door so when u press the button it pulls the locks down

   pretty sure it just unlocks if u pull it towards you. its on like a catch twist to unlock it then it comes out

    oo right thanks mate the bar on the inner handle is attached to the lock by a rod and this rod disconnects as you withdraw the lacth from the door? thanks mate! and how do you then reattach it? thanks

    the latch comes off the inner handles bit fiddly re fittin if i remember, and all fits in reverse as u took out just fiddy and prob cut your hands to ribbons as i remember
