overheat??

   Hi, when i've been driving recently in my Saxo i've noticed that a red warning light comes on my dash in the bottom left hand side it stays on for a couple of minutes then it goes off.
   I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and if so any suggestions of how to deal with it,

   Provided it dosn't stay on it should be o.k. But having said that it is foolish to ignore any red light displayed. The warning light you are refering to is the coolant temperature warning light and obviously comes on when the coolant has reached a critical temperature. Has the coolant system been recently flushed out and re-newed? If notit may be worthwhile doing in case there is a build up of shit in the system.
