Front plate recess smoothing

Anyone have a guide on how to do this?

just a case of plastic welding a plate in, some fibreglass, some filler, some sanding some painting?

You can do it that way
Or you can build it up with layers "n" layers of fiberglass

the bumpstrip needs cutting/grinding down at top corners of recess to look good, if these are left it doesn't look right once rest of recess is smoothed

the proper way to do it is by plastic welding in sections from another bumper and then thin skim of filler

Depending on when your car was registered, you could always opt for a self adhesive plate
