It irritates me!!

   How come my 1.1 Y reg saxo doesnt have power steering and my sister husband had an S reg west coast, and he did!! i've got used to it now but it was hard at first!

    To be fair the saxo does not have hard steering (ever driven a mk3 escort lol?).
    Check tyre pressures are correct, they have a massive effect on steering weight. Check A post for the decal that gives you tyre pressures. IIRC 1 bar = 15psi give or take a wee bit.

    i <3 no power steering..can feel the road better and if your going to slip you can feel it sooner without power steering and can do more to stop it
