i bought some loctite instant gasket from citroen to do my sump, trouble is it all in french how to use it, does anyone know how long it will take to set, also do i put it on the sump, let it set then put the sump back on or do i put the sump back on while it still wet?

    cheers

Remove sump, clean as best as you can the sump surface and the block surface, get as much oil off as possible, smear it around the sump then bolt the sump straight onto the block.

Give it 20 mins to dry

    Fill with engine oil up

Start engine up, let it warm up then double check all the bolts

Its not to hard to do, the most awkward part of it to be honest is keeping the block surface oil free, the sealent wont bond properlly if theres oil on the surface.

i no, i wood hate for it to leak again, citroen where nice enough to give me a bottle of free brake clearer so just going spray shits loads of that on before i put it on

Yea they should at the price you paid for the loctite!!! Brake cleaner will make it nice and dry though so will help alot. If it still leaks after that then its voodoo or something haha

i no i saw it in the for sale section, i would be tempted to buy if my car had higher mileage, why are you putting it in anymore? it will be better than you current one and you could do it yourself, was the mileage on 30k?
