VTR inlets

are there 3 diffrent types?? or is there just the 2 (pre 2000 and after 2000)

as iam havin difficulty making the one i have on the car at the moment work ive changed the ICV and the throttle cable so far and it still doesnt idle, once the battery is dis-connected and the ICV plug is un-plugged and plugged back in it seems to be fine for a day.

    i believe there are only 2 (<2000 & >2000) the difference is the port spacing 00-00 & 0-0-0-0

As above only 2. Although 2000 is the crossover period so some 2000s (Such as mine) have a Mk1 engine and as such have a MK1 inlet.

thats ok then i havnt got the wrong inlet....
on the furio (change over year) i had the ICV before the butter fly where as the vtr is way behind it with the pipe goin to it....

since its been on it hasnt run right so was thinkin that maybe the issue but obv isnt

    technically 3 types.

early black tops - they ran an elbow at the end, with a pipe goin to stepper motor 00-00
early silvertops - ran a ICV at the end and the port spacings where the same as the black top 00-00
later silvertops - ran a ICV at the end, and the map sensor was different location IIRC and had different port spacings. 0-0-0-0

also i belive the black tops pulled the throttle anti clock wise. where as the silvertops pulled it clockwise.
