#9thanks tom, really anoying me now, it doesnt want to be fixed, also the oil dripping from the bolt that holds the alternator bracket on, doesnt that bolt go through to the sump? if so could it be washer?
-
#10Nah it dosent go though to the sump it attach's to the block itself.
That sealent you bought will definatly seal it if its used properlly and the surface's are oil free.(providing the sumps not misshaped)
It is posible to wiggle the sump off without dropping the manifold off but its just abit of a pain, also how come you down pipe is welded to the mani? -
#11well you got the down pipe welded to the cat, then that goes up to the top of the manifold that have four bolts that were seize on and needed a bigger wrench so i tried wiggling and give up, but because i already drained oil, i tough i might aswell try seal it, but failed, so garage it looks like
