Knocking Noise from wheel

  1. #1
When im driving Ive noticed a knocking noise from the wheel, at first it sounded as if something was stuck in it and hitting the floor. Was nothing there when i checked.
No spring or damper damage as ive had a snapped spring, doesnt look like its anything to do with the arch liners.
Only thing I can think of is the driveshafts or wheel bearings, and I dont know how to tell if there on there way out of nackered... any advice?

Does it happen more when your turning?

could be a wheel bearing....to check it give each of the wheel a good shake back and forwards, and you will hear the knocking more clearly that way.

nah its not when turning, its just been driving normally like on the motorway and stuff. Ill give the wheel bearing a check

Gonna get it off the floor tomorrow and check everything,
Asked a mate about it, he said it could be a CV Joint or Driveshaft problem.

Be DriveShafts Mate, You'll Find Saxo VTR & VTS's 'Eat' Them. Will Hear More On Full Lock Try Going Round In Circles In A Car Park Or Something On Full Lock And Should Hear It More Then. Something Like A "Clunck, Clunck, Clunck". Let Me No How You Get On.
