    See picture below (for reference):

It keeps popping out of its place, is there meant to be a rubber ring / washer to secure it?

    any help?

This is quite a common problem, especially with the oil breather pipes at the top.

It does not have any seal or gasket, it was just a tight fit when the engine was new, but over the years with movement etc, the 'hole' where the pipe enters the engine naturally widens - resulting in a loose fit.

The way I cured mine was to clean the oil off thoroughly & apply liquid gasket all the way around the pipe (only from the outside). Has worked fine since!

Nothing to worry about unless it's breathing a lot of oil - it's just an oil breather which returns to the sump.

The breather is just abit blocked, as above nothing to worry about but be idea to clean it out in time if it starts building up alot.
