Rattling Clutch

   If i'm sat idleing the clutch starts to rattle alot and when i push the clutch in it stops, any ideas what could be wrong?

   thrust bearing/clutch release bearing

   As above but also likely to be gearbox input shaft bearings - commain failing. Try holding revs at 1200rpm ish - does noise stop? If so then probs shaft bearings.
