Lowering

    I've got a Saxo vtr and just got some new alloys but doesnt look right with it not being lowered, what would be a decent height to lower it for everyday driving, i was thinking 40mm?
    Also does anyone know what springs are decent but not to pricey and would i need new dampers?

    you don't need new dampers but i would highly recommend it, i only fitted springs and now my dampers are fooked and the suspension has to all come off again to fit the struts, so much easier to fit the struts when fitting the springs for a budget id get these

    then obviously you have to take in to account some one lowering the torsion abr

    Spax VSX is an amazing kit, I'm lowered 60-80 and I haven't the bump stops yet, it is VERY firm though!

    the rear dont need springs, its dampers!

    but to lower the rear u need the torsion bar done! changing the dampers wont lower the car mate!

    if u dont no what ur doin, get a pressional or someone who has done it before

    Im a motorbike mechanic so i can manage the front and i know the dampers wont lower just wasnt sure if standard ones could be used with springs. I didnt know about the rear so will probably get it done professionly or something.
