Just phoned autoglass today about a extremely tiny chip. I bought windscreen cover on my third party so was covered. Autoglass asked whether i wanted to claim off my insurance company or pay upfront myself. Will claiming off the insurance affect my no claims bonus? £97 from my own pocket to repair a chip the size of mouse dropping is just insane...

#2On the advert it says its covered and wont affect your insurance so call up your insurance to confirm it.

#4Bloody hell you could get a new windscreen on insurance for that, last time i cracked a windscreen i payed 50 excess for a new screen
Tbh id rather have a new screen than having some goon called gavin fixing it with his special resin lol -
#5i fixed mine myself, bought a kit from eBay, after seeing it done on my girlfriends car i used the same method and basically bought the same kit for about £5, autoglass must be making a mint.

#6If you go to B&Q car parks there always happens to be a man with a big sign wanting to fix these lol. He siad if your not claiming on insurance its £30 for a resin fix

#7I get mine for free with my Egg Car Insurance, they cover EVERYTHING.
I didnt have to pay a penny and got a free screen so thats what i pay the extra £9.99 over the year for, hopefully its the same for you. -
#8I pay £9.89 a year for my windscreen cover but not sure what it actually "covers". Insurance companies are runned by fat cats so Ill phone them up to make sure.
