Important! : car wont start after vts conversion HELP

  1. #1
recently had my vtr converted to a vts everything is in and went fine except i needed a new lambda sensor as my mechanic told me the one i got on my vts engine was damaged.

i brought a new one but have not fitted it yet. also my radiator needs bleeding.. now when i turn the key the the engine sounds like it wants to start it sounds like it almost starts like its 90 percent there. but just dont fire. also let me add the vts engine i brought has been in storage for almost a year in my garage before putting it in my car

car has petrol, even though the petrol reads quite low, i did put £7.00 in today though, dials come on.

anyone got any idea what it could be?.

    Immobilizer?

doubt it as the ecu is unlocked. but i will try another ecu just to be sure. reason i doubt it is the engine almost starts up. not sure it would get that far if the ecu was locked(i think).

has it ever started? ecu may have been unlocked but if you didnt remove the transponder box it'll lock the other ecu

as above, remove transponder box and try that

just removing it wont start the car if thats whats happened because the ecu will need unlocking again

Pickup ring will have no effect with an unlocked ECU.

As said the transponder will lock it if its connected. Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition to stage 2? (you may have to remove the rear seat to hear it, its a buzzing sound)
