Important! : coolant temp sensor

    hi can any one twll me where this coolant temp sensor is ..is it the blue sensor like the green lambo sensor ...reason why is my brother y reg saxo vtr is reving at 2000 ive


    check.

    1)ICV
    2)COILPACK
    3)GREEN LAMBO UNPLUG
    STILL SITING AND REVING ITS SELF PLEASE CAN ANY ONE HELP.....

    Blue is for the dash, green is for the ECU as i had mine out today, tis right next to the blue one on the thermostat.

    You checked the throttle cable? It has a little pin to adjust it.

    cheers for the reply mate ive check cable seems to be ok .but thse two plugs down the side ones green lambo sensor and the other is .i guess temp sensor yer ive disconect both and then one at a time still no joy ..aint there a screw to turn the revs down like on most cars ??????

    Lambo sensor? I'm guessing you mean Lambda sensor? That's in your manifold and/or cat.

    The green and blue are both temp sensors, one for the gauge on your dials/dash and one for the ecu.

    As far as i know, these shouldn't effect the idle. It is most likely the throttle cable sticking.

    You should see on the top left hand side of the engine/throttle body, you should see the throttle cable and a sleeve around it with ridges on like the picture below:



    Take the clip off of it and move it up or down a notch or 2 and see how it revs then, should fix all your problems
