guys im looking for a cam to mildly improve the cars torque & bhp, want more torque rather than BHP & also im thinkin a 4-2-1 will help things along the way.

please can you suggest cams or manifolds that will suit!? and prices too...

im not to clued up on the whole "degree" "lift" & "timing" idea of the cams... thats y ive asked for advise...

its about volumetric efficiency the more air and fuel entering the valves the more torque and then power. so the more lift on the cam the more power produced.

youl1 want piper 285, kent pt51 or cat cams 708. anything less wont be worth it. anything more wont really for road use.
prices are about 450 a kit with the catcams being about a 100 less.

theres been a lot on manifolds recently so have a search

so if i want to improve torque i need a high lift cam!? that will mean rough idle yes?

i use the kent cam pt3040k (fast road) this is fine for road use, doesnt alter the idle much and does improve torque nicely imo. but mine is the only cammed one ive been in so cant realy compare. but i have done 58k with the cam in and she's never missed a beat and shes on 93k now.lol.

a remap will complement the idle and produce more gains. you really need go in a car with it done because you might like it, you might not.
