Re the head leak problem

   My regular readers might recall that I put a second hand head bought for £15 on my 1.4i. I first fit it without skimming because the seller told me it was ok [it wasnt] but it leaked water out of the exhaust and water into the oil.
   
   Had it skimmed [again after taking it back with scratches on the face]. This time it still leaked water out of the exhaust but there was no emulsion in the oil.
   
   Mate in car spares biz recommended K seal, it was originally marketed for the awful K series Rovers, but is supposed to work. I tried it and it didnt work at first, but on the second outing the water leak has been solved!
   
   I'll go to buggery [not an obsenity ed]

   Yes, we tried it on my mates Sierra, worked wonders and no problems!!

   No not really regarded as a long term solution. But his car is old and not really worth spending a lot of money on it. He said he will keep driving it until it fails. So far though, and this is three years on, it is still holding the water and no problems. Probably put the kiss of death on it now!!!!!
