My exhaust has snapped off!

   I was just reversing out of my mates drive after picking him up and all of a sudden it sounded like my exhaust wasn't even there! so we stopped and it was hanging from the front of the car where it goes up into the manifold!
   
   Im guessing it can either just be re welded on or a new section of pipe from the box can be put on?
   
   Has this happened to anyone else? what kind of money am i looking at for a garage to do it?

   depends if it is actual manifold pipe or section that joins it

   i honestly have no idea but where the exhaust goes towards the front under the engine it bends up towards the manifold and its literally on that bend it has snapped off just above some welding.

   This happened to me, the backbox snapped off, sounded like a tractor.

   any exhaust place shud do ya mate isnt really major
