    I've got an issue guys.
Right then. Car warms up as normal. Fan cuts in normally but stays in for ages and doesn't cut out. It only cust out when engine gets turned off.
    Anyone else had this?
    Cheers

On Mk1 saxo check radiatror fan switch, side of radiator on passenger side of car, 2 wires. Next time this happens unplug one of the wires to see if fan stops. If so replace switch. Note that coolant will escape while changing the switch so you will need to re-bleed.

Could be but surely if the fans cutting in at normal temp the fan switch is doing it's job.

The switch must make and break the circuit, it may be okay making but not breaking it. The circuit used is so simple on the Mk1 that I can not think of anything else that may cause it tbh.

some times your fan stays on 5 mins after you turn the car off because its over heating!

By the way it's a mk2 that the problems on.
And I know it's not overheating.

Are the circuits diff on mk1 and 2?

hi mate i had the same problem with mine but mine didnt ever go off unless i disconected the battery on the right hand side of the fan you will see a little box.. unscrew it whilst the cars started and unplug the relay! sometimes they stick.. if not try the temp sender on the engine not sure if they are verticle or horizontile on to the bonnet on your model though
