Got my eye on a viper induction but not sure weather its truely worth the money, heard alot about there the best due to been enclosed and apparently the saxos stuggle with engine heat. Been told a few times that a panel filter will be just as good but i just cant see that been true.

#2They are not the best, but not bad either lol
-
#3lol what would you advise?
-
#4i would say a big no no imo .... they feel like they bog it down. definately a panel filter
-
#5Alternatives: K&N Gen 2, Raceland enclosed, simmota, BMC CDA
-
#6k&n gen twos are really nice but there all really costly i can get a viper nearly new for 30 seems to good to turn down!! but want whats best not arsed about noise just general performance. cheers lads
-
#7Your not really going to see any performance increase on air filters a great deal.
-
#8not a great deal but still theres a noticeable differnce on the 172 and the st there is as i fitted the k&n gen 2, too both and seems to open them up abit especially the fiesta st has anyone seen the stock induction on them its like the same size as my car.
-
#9You would be better with a good £30 pannel filter and air feed for performance but it varies from car to car
-
#10where you find viper for £20?
-
#11for £30 id buy it for now!!! i got 1 on my vts with a cold air feed and it makes a diffrence
-
#12get a raceland or bmc
-
#13id say go bmc, my vtr had a slight improvment with a k n 57i kit but when i put my bmc enclosed kit on it felt smoother and quicker accellerating. fuel mpg went down though :-)
-
#14raceland r the best specially for money
-
#15Would a panel filter be any good for someone thinking about 4-2-1 and cams etc?
-
#16get a bmc!
-
#17I had a viper air filter in my old vtr. Now i drive one which is standard and i feel my standard one is better with panal air filter. But i think Raceland enclosed, simmota, BMC CDA would be good.
