Power Steering Pump?!

    got a feeling my power steering pump is on its last legs.. iv read on here people saying aparently when the pump is working you can hear it.. i cant for starters.. and at times ill be driving along and the steering can become very light/ sometimes very heavy to the point wher it feels like iv got a flat! made me get out and check tyres on a12 this week!! lol anyone heard of this problem & any solutions please?

    From what you say the pump is dead due to worn brushes, going over a bump or tapping it with a hammer will often make it work again for a short while. Replace pump to fix. They are available on ebay regularly enough but local scrappy may come up trumps. PAS pumps are all the same for saxo range btw.
