Front arch lining - what is it.....?????

Just noticed that some of the black paint on the nearside front arch (that looks like underseal) has lifted and a patch has come off...... Any reccomendations on a quick fix? Dont want water and shizzle getting behind it.

    arch linings are usually plastic

Here you can see what I mean and how its peeled away - just paint over with underseal again?

clean the rust off and paint it with underseal or paint it with oil (normall engine oil) will stop the rust

crack out the hammerite, paint over it tbh, job done

Hammerite is good stuff but a stone hitting it would expose the chassis again. Underseal stays semi hard (rofl) and will join up again if it cracked etc.

that wont be the only bit thats rusty mate..
citroen did a piss poor job of seam sealing the arches.
when i checked mine over, i found the scuttle drain hole was draining under the seam sealant and i had lots of water bubbles in my underseal.. i got a wire wheel for my angle grinder and took it all off.. the rust was just unbelieveable..so much that i didnt even know about
    better check properly mate...
