Knocking suspension on front :(

Hi, ive recently bought a completely standard vts from a dealer, and as part of the deal he offered to lower the car providing i picked up the springs.

I bought some 60mm gmax off ebayer and hes fit them before i picked car up, unfortunately the car is knocking its tits off at the front on either side now and its really sounds asif the suspension is loose

People keep saying wishbones, drop links, anti roll bar, dampers etc but i need someone to try and give me an answer thats alittle more direct so i can have another look.

Ive been under car, jacked it up and also jacked the disc and suspension up aswell afterwards to see if anything looked suspicious but no such look

When i bounce on suspension on side of car it sounds fine, only when am driving and even the smallest little bumps or humps in road it just knocks on and on.

    Any advice??

that happened to my mates car and he sed it was the rubber bit at the top of struts. he took the strut off, moved the rubber bit a little and put it bak on and it was fine

Have the 60mm springs been placed onto the original dampers ? I purchased a fairly standard VTS that had been lowered on 60mm springs but the dampers had not been up rated, everything else seemed fine at the time except the constant knocking noise(s) over every bump. On taking out the suspension and dampers I found that the seals on the dampers were bolloxed and leaking oil all over the place, on replacing with some uprated ones the noises have all but gone. If everything else looks ok this may be a good place to start. However do remember that saxo's are pretty tinny cars and your always gonna get some sort of knocking noise especially when lowered.

    Hope this helps.

i would say as above, if you on standard shocks, and down 60mm then your shocks cant take the extra load beign lower and the bumps, so you need to get some uprated dampers. As end fo the day you need the right equipment to be sitting that low. If not my next bet would be drop links are worn. But id say shocks to start with!

shocks, top mounts, drop links or the lower arms are loose mate or maybe the ball joints arent in correct position
