mk1 to mk 2 hubs

   recently i fitted hubs and struts of a mk 2 saxo on to my mk1 rally car to allow me to fit the mk2 shafts. done a couple of miles on the first stage and the shaft pulled rite through the bearing on the long shaft thus pulling it out the gearbox which meant rally over. just wondering if the wishbones on the mk 1 and 2 are the same length cause if it needed to be shorter thats why it would of pulled the shaft out

   Bottom arms are the same on all VTR/S/Furio regardless of age so that's not an issue. I can not viualise how the sfaht can pull through because the taper (or shoulder on MK1 hub/shaft set up) would prevent this. I wonder if the stuff you have bought was advertised correctly? I think a hub/shaft miss match has occured somehow.

   i bought mk2 hubs with the taper and mk2 shafts also with the taper. the shaft pulled through the inner bearing on the inner shaft leaving the bearing still in the housing and the shaft out of the gearbox.

   I am at a loss there, sorry I can't offer any more on this one. Hopefully some one else might chip in with a theory.
