Hi guys, this is my second thread, first one was about my saxo making banging noises, found out that it's bottomed out, and the springs have tightened so much now that it can't take the shock.
NOW... I was driving today, and I came across an unexpected hole (pot hole), hit it, not as hard but made quite a bang, and then suddenly the engine switched off... wtf??? Thank god I wasn't on the motorway!!! Then I tried to start it and it wouldn't... opened up a bonnet, no sign of any burning or smoke, engine temp was on middle, waited for 2 mins then it switched ON normally.
And the ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT came on, well, after I went to uni, left the car for (3-4 hours) the E.M.L. was OFF... I'm now afraid to drive the car because wouldn't want it to cut off again just coz I go over a bump LOL!
It's a 02' plate vtr, only 60k, 2 prev owners, not an abused car, bought a new battery recently and done the rocket gasket 2 days ago in big city tyres garage, they've also told me that my suspension are fine, and they should bang if it's that low on the ground, etc.
Any ideas why the hell it switches off when I hit a bump quite hard??? Happened twice now, once 5 weeks ago and today... =(
