Should i get a dimma front bumper or repair my bumper?

  1. #1
I've got a bit of a dilemma, my front bumper needs repairing and repainting, but I'm half tempted to get a Dimma front bumper, what are your thoughts?

This is my rather tatty front bumper (cost me £200 only a few months ago and its fooked already, mainly my fault though) loads of paint chips from gritters, i didn't have it fitted properly and its scratched to high heaven and i was being towed the other week after i broke down, the tow eye snapped and cracked the bumper

or should i sell the bumper and get a Dimma one?

yea that could be a good option, also i dont think im gonna have the area around the widemouth painted black so only the actual widemouth insert would be painted black, im not sure if dimma bumpers look good on mk1's, on mk2's they look sexy but i dont think it'll go with my car

To be honest it'll have to be a good price as my usual sprayer only lives 20miles from me and he usually does it all cheap for me, ive also got a spoiler i need spraying black, my mirrors sprayed black and my front grille smoothed and sprayed black so it'll be easier to just give my usual guy the whole car for a week tbh, otherwise ill have to send the whole lot up to you seams like too much hassle mate

if you went scrappy and picked up some cheap or damaged vt bumpers or even flat arch bumpers and smoothed them then put them up for sale im sure there would be a lot of people interested in them, a lot of people wanna go euro so if you made up a batch of smoothed bumpers/grilles im sure they would sell like hot cakes lol

i wouldn't have thought there would be any problems if you just posted them up in the for sale section, there are a few people that do stuff like this, member mikol buys second hand brake calipers (vt calipers and 266mm calipers) and reconditions them and sells them on with a set of mintex pads at a profit and they sell very quickly, theres definitely money to be made if you've got the right skills and the time

no i meant i can't go in for sale section until i've got 100 posts and been here over a month
