   I changed my cigarette lighter yesterday for a new one so obviously ripped all front panel off then reconnected it and now everytime i try to start my vtr it just ticks over and i have like a key icon on my dash could this be the Immobiliser if it is how do i take it off ?

   That is the immobilser yeah, what year is your VTR? What wiring looms did you touch? Try unclamping the positive on the battery for half and hour and see if that helps first

   does the immobiliser automaticly disarm in a certain amount of time ? and its a mk1 98
   what if disconnecting the battery don't work ?
