How can you tell which type you have? My cat is under the car but i have a mk2 and i have a mismatch of change over parts.

the 98hp had a filter where you changed the insert.

90hp had a screw on one.

    oh its a fo-real...

on your filter does it look like a 17mm nut on the top?

    or a big cartridge?

So is it a mk1 or mk2 filter setup? e.g. can i get a manifold or do i have to get a manifold that clears it

I know what they are i just don't kow if its mk1 or mk2 in regards to manifold fitment

If the Cat is underneath you would have a mk1 oil filter which is a cartridge which is on the left....

If the cat is in the manifold its a mk2 oil filter which is a big thing with the 17mm looking nut on the top wich is on the right..

you have a mk1 filter setup - get a manifold to suit.
