Will it bog down or not?

I'm thinking of putting a Piper Cross induction kit on my VTR - but I've heard and read that it might cause bogging down at low revs, especially when the engine is hot. I can see why it could do this.

What can anyone tell me about their experiences with a Piper Cross fitted? Good or bad, let me know. Will I notice a decent difference in acceleration? Does anyone have problems at low revs?

yup there was one fitted to my vtr when i bought it. it was shite, made the car bog down at low revs like you say and the car loses power when warm as it's sucking in hot air. changed to a standard air box+panel filter and it's a lot better to drive with no flat spots or bogging down.

what about it? is it an enclosed filter? if not then don't bother. either go for a Green enclosed, BMC, or stick a panel filter in the standard airbox.

just that the flat spots and lack of power low down have both gone and the car drives far smoother especially when warm.

what a standard air box or a panel filter? somewhere like demon tweeks etc will sell the filter for about £35. doesn't make any noise as it's the standard box, your just changing the filter inside.

at the end of the day, like sean says you wont gain much noticable power from just a filter. you can only make it run better.

    or worse
