Newbie question about unlocking the car!

   On my newly purchased VTS when i unlock the car the indicators flash very fast for about to seconds, not sure how many times ect as like i say it is very fast.
   
   Are they supposed to do that or do i have a problem?

   You might have an electronics problem or the previous owner or one of the previous owners might have set it up to do that. Either way i dont think you have a problem

   ive got a vtr and it does the same, ive also got a citroen berlingo van 57plate and thats always done it from new so dont fink youve got a problem mate pretty sure its normal

   Sweet, just read this thread and had a similar problem with my Westie. I asked a mate and he said the same, it shouldn't be a problem, besides quite a few cars automatically do that, it depends on the locking system on the car.

   I know someone with a Citroen Xsara Picasso that does just that. Flashes numerous times really fast when you open it, then indicators stay on solidly for about 2 second when you lock it or vice versa.
   
   Sounds normal to me.

   yer its meant to do that. When you lock it, the indicators stay on for 2 seconds continuously. When you unlock they blink fast on and off for two seconds. Its so you can tell the difference if you have unlocked it or locked it. Iv had several saxos and 3 vts. They all do it pal.
