Decat

   Is it worth the risk of having a whopping fine for the benefits of decatting a car?

   I cant think of any situation that i've ever found myself with a police officers head underneath my car to be honest...
   Its up to you really mate, on a peugeot 106 gti, like on my vts, i'd say its worth it cos if you get around 10% more power by removing the cat then its the difference in being able to hold your own against most other hatches out there that are runnin 0-60 more around the 6.5 mark...
   How much is the fine anyway? You could always just bullshit any copper and tell him that the Cat is in the manifold in your model and he wouldn't have a clue

   Not sure about the fine. It's just the po po are a bit petty round here and my mate got stopped constantly in his decatted VTR.

   Depends on the rest of the system, its loud but not stupid loud.

    i never knew ther was a fine, i think its the smell and mybe a bit more smokey thats a decat givaway

    If you have a quiet backbox and an under car silencer similar to the SS one, it would barely be noticable. Besides its only VOSA who give fines for non CAT vehicles.

    My S is decat and my old Focus ST was decat, i think decat makes quite a difference, however im unsure what im going to do come MOT time as the ST was exempt for 3yrs lol

    Thats what I have on my car, was planning on fitting a decat. Bought a magnex one off of someone on here and got mugged off by them and it never appeared
