Lambo doors on a Saxo..... Classy? Or Chavvy?

   Went to a modified car show in Oulton a week or so back, and saw a few Saxo's with Lambo doors, just wanted to know the Saxperience's general opnion on sticking scissor doors on a regular Saxo??
   
   I know the majority of members are more performance than looks, but I personally thought they looked cool

   Not for me, imo doors that open the 'wrong' way only belong on Lambos, rears on a Roller or the 'beetle wings' on a Spyker Aileron (think in as seen in latest TG mag)

   personally i love lambo doors but quite a few people will slate you for it, but on the other hand its your car and if you like them then do it

   I've heard its a pretty straight forward mod, i mean its just changing the bearings etc that the door sits on and opens with, or something along those lines. The thing i need to focus on is my paint work, its awful at the moe, and im trying to find somewhere that'll touch it for less than a grand.... :/

   what u doing full respray?? if you ask me then u need to sort paint work first then sort out doors if u still want them

   Aye, i got the car about 3 months ago, the geeza i got it off was an essex boy racer who fitted a nice body kit on it ona budget by the looks, and it didn't seem as if he was popular in his neighbourhood neither, i mean there are a few key scratches etc and cracks on the body kit. Its currently metallic blue, I'll have to get some pics up of the paintwork because its awful!! Im sure it'll put a smile on some peoples faces lol, its obvious that the previous owner didnt have a clue as to how to respray cars, as in some places black primer is showing through the blue paint work.
   
   Anyone know of anywhere that does body filling and paint jobs?
   
   Ps Lambo doors would look so uber, and im thinking of doing my car white! With yellow calipers and yellow grills, take a look on the pics page i got a thread up with a few pics at the moe!

    Lambo doors are a bit Pimp My Ride too. May work on those big blinged out extravagant yank tanks, but on a tiny little European shopping trolley? Nah!!!

    Putting lambo doors on a saxo... it's different, but i think lambo doors should stay on a lambo tbh.

    its alot more work than you think, both front wings need removing, the a pillars and doors need strengthening and all the wiring need lengthening, alot they sway alot when open putting alot of strain on door/a pillar and over time they drop and don't shut properly

    more money than they are worth ive heard that bolts come loose and forever tightening em up plus cant see the mod till u park up and open door i wud spend money on other mods to be honest.if was to do doors id do suicide doors

    it may or may not sway you, but as i said i went to a modified car showroom, and it was mental the things you can do to cars. I saw a car with the controls for a pc in the glove compartment, a wireless keyboard and mouse hooked up to his 9'' <-- guessing now, headunit. I mean this stuff was pretty imense!!

    they'd be alright if it was a show car which was only for shows and which you make money on, but i couldn't imagine going gym or something everyday cos every1 would just look at you and think wtf lol. but if the gash out there likes em slap em on and slap em up

    i think they are nice, ino thas going to start most of you off on the "u are a chav" ect but im not jst think they do look nice but they are expensive and ifd something goes wrong...., hey its your car if every1 else does'nt like it then hey thats wy its urs and not theirs!,

    why does anybody modify cars? also what is your definition of a "show car"? its just a car that people take to shows to show off lol anything could be a show car, all the cars at fcs could be classed as show cars it just depends on how good the car is weather most people would class it as a show car or not

    i think lambo doors is one of those mods that can only be apprecited by people who understand the amount of work put into them, like show cars, bodykits etc. to the rest of the world they look wank
