think pas is on the way out

   since i have had the car the steering has felt a bit heavy,if i go from left to right it goes really heavy,the pump makes a really loud whining noise which does my head in as well.then my friend has a vtr as well it felt so much lighter than mine,think mines fooked?

   Have you had your car lowered? If so check for leaks/split in the pipe near to the track rod. It's common for the high pressure pipe to rupture after its been lowered if it hasn't been manouvered out of the way

   yea i see that FAQ on that but the level hasnt dropped so i think it rules that out for the moment,my friends saxo pas pump doesnt make hardly any noise but mine is so loud i didnt realise until i pulled next to my friend

   Sounds like its on its way out dude, my old vtr was like that really louds and it got to the point id start the car and it wouldn't word so id have to bash it with a bar and it made an awful noise, had to do this every day........ probably best to get a recon pump or cheap second hand.
