Fitting Rear Spoiler - How?

  1. #1
    Hi,

I've been meaning to ask this question for a while regarding my rear VTR spoiler. I bought the car without the spoiler attached and so set about buying the necessary parts to put it back on (I do not want to tiger seal it on). It is the spoiler type that attaches through two holes in the rear window. I approached Citroen who have so far supplied me with two parts:

    - Black foamy things, which from the looks of things stick to the ends of the spoiler itself

    - Two black rings (no idea what these are for)

I was waiting for them to get back to me with the fixings (I imagine some kind of bolts?) but they were playing me about and I gave up. My question is, how on earth do you fit one of these spoilers? (i.e. what bits do I need and how do I put them all together?) and can I buy some replacement bolts that will be suitable from somewhere like Halfords, or do I need to source the official parts?

    Many thanks

    Keeley

    1) The bolts are inserted into the Spoiler
    2) the nuts are little plastic nuts, 8 mm iirc.

    Cheers!

Can I buy any bolts that will fit then? Also, any idea what the ring thing is for (see pic below)? The hole in the middle is smaller than the bolt hole in the spoiler and the hole in the black foamy thing

Mk1 or mk2 spoiler??? you may have bought it for a mk1 rather than a mk2?? or the other way round?

    not sure otherwise.

mk2. Citroen took my registration and VIN so I would have thought they would be suited for my car....but then again, we are talking about Citroen here!
