Detailing/Fine-Cleaning Engine Bay

  1. #1
Hello, it's never occured to me before to actually clean my engine-bay, but after taking a look at certain other peoples bay.. makes me want to give it a shot.

Wondering if anyone can re-direct me to a How-to-Guide so i don't mess anything up, and cheap products i can buy to do the job.

I AM a member on Detailingworld so you can also re-direct me there if needed

What im interested in is de-greasing everything and making it look mint and then go on to paint various objects color-coded blue around the engine.

EG: Rocker cover/caps/and the pipe to the front of the bay for my induction kit.

Heres my stinky old dirty engine bay:

    Cheers!
    Colin!

A can of gunk parts degreaser (the spray stuff), some old cloths and plenty of elbow grease. Then you can start polishing/ tarting up the painted bits.

Go and get bumper care.. for the plastics
    a APC (all purpose cleaner)
Time and elbow grease is a must
Cover the electrics to prevent damage

and the main it doesnt have to be sprayed to look good keep it all standard and clean rather than spraying it as it just looks cheap and shit...

If you just use a parts degreaser and a cloth, should be able to get it clean without using a hose etc. Spray degreaser onto cloth, wipe, repeat.

This is the best way....reduces the risk of damage to electrical components
