    hi ive got a saxo vtr w 2000 reg do i need a 4-2-1 manifold or a 4-1 manifold becuase im looking on upgrading to a racrland

    well thats down to choice?? 4-2-1 give better low down power and 4-1 manifolds give better power in the power range usually higher up the rev range

    remember that either of these will de-cat your car and the cheap ones will need the oil filter moving which involved threading the block.

    i found when i put a 4-2-1 raceland on my vtr that it was slower low don in the rev rage (where the vtr excels) but picks up higher up bwt 4-5k revs (not much point as u need change gear 5.5k)

    waste of money if you not going cam and aswell.

    thanks yea i am caming it as well it says that the 4-1 raceland will fit striaght on with no mods

    4-1 will send all the power even higher in the rev rang so id go for the 4-2-1 but save up and get the one ment for the mk2 vtr. i think its the supersprint.

    it doesnt take long to convert to the old type oil filter but it seems abit of a bodge job to me when i did it on my old vtr.
    im shure the engine seems quieter when i put the standard manifold and oil system back on aswell.

    the 4-2-1 you have the relocated the oil filter so its like the mk1 filter, its not really modifying, the 4-1 raceland goes straight on,
