well where can i start, when i put on the left indicator sometimes it clicks fast like the bulb has gone but when i get out the car and check they are all working fine.

sometimes when im driving along it plays up and a split second later its fine. does anyone have any ideas how to tell whats wrong?

Check your light boards in the rear lights. You might have a crack in the glass or a leaky seal that's letting in water. The water then corrodes the metal tracks that run on the boards and take the electricity to the lights. This can cause these problems. All i did was took all the lamps out, doused the light board in WD40 and give them a good scrub with a stiff brush. This got rid of any corrosion and sorted the problem.

If the light boards are okay then it could be that the indicator stalk is in need of cleaning. you'll have to take it out somehow and give it a good spray with switch cleaner and let it dry before refitting it and trying it... if that doesn't work then get a new indicator stalk and that will cure it.

Sounds like the indicator stalk is worn out and needs replacing then.
