wishbone query? whats the difference?

   I've got a saxo vtr which failed its mot on front wisbones being worn resulting in excessive movement. My question is...
   
   
   
   Can I fit the cheaper wishbones from the smaller saxo's? Iknow the proper ones are cast and probably stronger but I'm also out of work, skint and carless at the mo and just need it back on the roa. Will they physically fit? They are half the price of the cast ones

   You can fit any wishbone to the vtr.

   Cheers for the info, what's the difference then? Are the cast ones just stronger?
   
   Also when you say cheap... do you mind telling me how much?

   mid spec models have the anti role bar mounted to the wishbone. But seing as yours go onto your struts any wishbone will do

   ive seen ads on ebay that sell 2 brand new ones for about 60 pound, would these be useful, or just cheap rubbish that will wear out in no time?

   I'm looking for some new wishbones too for my VTR. Not sure where to get decent ones from though.

   Do not buy the basic model wishbones if you have a vtr!!!
   
   Yes it will fit but in order to do so you will have to get rid of the front anti roll bar as the drop links foul on the base model wishbones

   just seen someone on ebay selling a couple for £60 mite go and get them, yeah i know about the anti roll bar fitment

    Where do you recommend getting them from? I was just going to get some off EuroCarParts. Not sure which one to get though.

    dont buy the big bulky solid ones they do as said above and get in the way of the anti roll drop bar . buy the ones tht are exactly the same as the ones tht come off . mate got caught out on this at the weekend

    Exactly what you need. Quality will be no different to any other whether its from the manufacturer or not.
    
    Theyll certainly outlive the car once being replaced most likely
