torsion bars aren't that hard mate, literally need a slide hammer. undo the bolts, drop the bar, turn both splines and pop it back in.

most garages wont touch it though, they just suggest replacing it, bastards!

i found that the haynes manual for modifying saxo's helped a lot, only about £20 in halfords, probably cheaper on the net

    Beaniemoo

Pm him, based in Bedford/Milton Keynes area.

Can't recommend him enough. Think it took the beaniemoo tag team about 30 mins to lower mine 40mm, all measured and done properly with the bars out. Lovely job

you could just ask around at some local garage my ;local garage did it for £50 for me, but that was sort of mates rates thought, they took 5.5 hours doing it it was stuck in that much lol and he rallies 106's so i can trust him to do a proper job lol

Thanks guys, well i attempted this myself, i got the N/S off set washer out with no trouble, however the drivers side is a complete bastard to get out! Its pretty much rusted in there. I just need someone who won't get stuck like i did to be honest!

    Ill pm beaniemoo now! Thanks!

they always a good trick, using a spair anti roll bar(thanks to willsy), works a treat and never ever failed on me. Would offer to do it but im busy/booked up till mid june now, but try beaniemoo as he may possibly be able too.

jack car up,wheels off, remove dampers, measure the height both sides, then i took the arb out first, then unbolted and moved the brake brakets both sides out the way a little, then the 4 t40 bolts out and washers, fuck load of wd40 on the torsion, big bar and slegde and hammer the bars out, jack arm to height required rememebering to minus the measurement you took to how low you want it,then fitting is reverse of removal as haynes likes to say
