rear camber and a bad knock!

  1. #1
right now then a freind came to see me tonight and he has really bad camber on his rear wheel so we jacked up his car and we have seen this: (hopewilliamsvts doesn't mind me stealing/editing his pic)

this plate was sheered where the red line is. could this be causing the camber/knocking noise?

if so how big a job is it? or how should it be sorted?
    thanks

    yes, a little.

thats the end plate for the ARB, so atm it can move about slightly, was the other side like that?

there maybe play, due to the trailing arm bearings failing, so a new rear beam would be on the cards tbh. or atleast rebuilding that one

no the other side it still fine and right what price are we looking at will give ricky p a ring in the morning i think
  4. #4
    300?

thats what i paid for a rear beam rebuild
  5. #5
the snapped bolt will cause the knock, camber is caused by radius arm bearings collapsing, new beam time sorry
  6. #6
oh right will tell him this! might be worth speaking to the im axel people about getting one sorted and fitted!
  7. #7
tbh, just get a new/refurbed beam.

if you good with cars, its very easy to fit, just a bit heavy.

only 4 bolts holding it on.

i have been looking at this have looked at them just a littl odd about bleeding the brakes after or could i just leave the calipers connected?
  9. #9
no, brakes would need to be disconnected and rebled.
