I was driving my saxo today down a little country road the neadle was pretty much in the red, ive checked my head gasket for symptoms its all ok, coolant is full its premium coolant etc i know saxos run hot so im guessing a VTS twin fan rad would better for my car how much work would that be to fit it??

It shouldnt get up in the red if the systems in good health and you dont have any air locks really although they do go high, the standard cooling setup on the 1.4's is the same as the VTR and generally ample for road use.

Has work been done on the car/the system been bled recently?

The VTS radiator is a good modification though if you do like to drive hard. Its a simple fit, you can cut down your current lower pipe or fit a VTS one. The fan setup will be required aswell, as long as you get it from the same year/phase of ECU youll be fine. The two fan setup is a gimmick for road cars in my opinion, its not needed atall.

defo shouldnt go that high mate. shouldnt really go above half way tbh, i have a vts and it runs pretty hot but the fan cuts in at the half way point and me mate has a 1.4 and the temp stays between the bottom and the half way mark. even with an air lock it shouldnt go in the red tbh. how were you driving your car or is that a stupid question lol
