Burning Oil / Engine About To Seize?

  1. #1
    Right then,

I've been speaking on another thread about oil that my car burns through 5 litres of it a month, that's bad

Anyone know what this could be / how to resolve it?

Also, my car wouldn't turn over the other day, took me 3 attempts for it to happen. I've noticed my car has been running very, very hot recently - close to the overheating light coming on.

The fan kicks in almost everytime I drive it for more than 10 minutes.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

Get a new engine mate, for the sake of your car, wallet and the environment.

Will be cheaper than repair, just make sure you get it from a reputable supplier.

Valve stem oil seals or piston rings. Will piston rings show on a compresion test maybe?
