#2Time for a new clutch I'd say.
-
#3new clutch time, or at least gearbox off time !
lmao, press the middle one
-
#4the clutch is almost brand new though
i dont think the clutch would be making that sort of noise, i dont know if its the thrust bearing shaking around?
-
#6jesus..... thats loud! clutch time as said lol! At first thought it was the clutch realese bearing but its not that blydi loud!!! haha!

#7anybody wanna buy a mint 16v vtr?
-
#8like i said i only fitted this clutch a few months ago when the engine was in my mates car, ive only just changed the gearbox from my 1.1 to my vtr box and changed the drive shafts i drove it for about 100miles now this is happening i really cant be bothered to be taking the gearbox off again lol but i think im gonna have to to find out why its bloody doing this, it sounds like something is scraping along the ground weirddd
-
#9sounds like something is scrapping against the clutch pressure plate.
I can imagine it'll be a shot release bearing.
Tell me about changing gearboxes, I had to do 4 in one week and I was sick of them after that tbh ! -
#11lol well it might be up for sale soon, i really want a VW bora...dont ask me why i just do lol but im gonna finish it first ive got new suspension and brakes going on it and its gonna go back to the body shop for a few little things as i dont wanna sell it as an unfinished project..
-
#12yea i can see it being that as well mate, because if its came off some how then it'll be scraping on the pressure plate as you said and also as the car is shaking violently when i try to pull off so it wont be doing its job properly?
-
#13the release bearing isnt probably located on the arm, probably come off some how.so when you press the pedal down the release bearing is probably spining when ingaged or something along those lines.i know because i did my mates vtr,got to make sure you done move the arm other wise it comes off. deffo gear box off job mate, not to hard just a bugger when it comes to getting the box on.rest is pretty much straight forward.give me a shout if worst comes to worse.

#14cheers mate, ive done about 6 gearboxes with my mates i know how much of a bugger they are to get back on but yea its pretty straight forward once its back onQuote:the release bearing isnt probably located on the arm, probably come off some how.so when you press the pedal down the release bearing is probably spining when ingaged or something along those lines.i know because i did my mates vtr,got to make sure you done move the arm other wise it comes off. deffo gear box off job mate, not to hard just a bugger when it comes to getting the box on.rest is pretty much straight forward.give me a shout if worst comes to worse.
