i have a mk2 vtr and im looking to get a new manifold, on kam racing website the 4-2-1 raceland needs the oil filter converting to a mk1 oil filter but the 4-1 manifold fits straight on. what would the performance differences be between the 4-2-1 and the 4-1 im abit confused which to go for any help would be brilliant!!!!
Important! : raceland manifolds?????

#2the 4-2-1 gives better low down power the 4-1 gives better power in the 'power band' so higher up in the rev range than the 4-2-1, to be honest 8v's are pretty good on low down power its higher up the rev range when they start to die off so it could be a good idea to get the 4-1 unless you want better low down power then get the 4-2-1, but like you said you have to move the oil filter, the only other option is to buy a more expensive manifold which dont require the filter to be moved, just saw you live in melton i live in oakham lol

#3I dont think you will really notice the difference between the 4-1 and 4-2-1 on a road car.

#4how much is it?

#5I just bought the raceland 4-1 off kam racing. Cost £215 but thats with postage to Northern Ireland. Will be getting it fitted sometime next week after I get my axle changed and through the MOT.
My standard manifold keeps cracking so thought I may as well do this now.
Anyone know if it makes the car any louder as I dont really want it to. It will be the raceland manifold then straight pipe to a skorpion back box. -
#6well the manifold doesn't make the car loud but the fact that you've got a straight through pipe with a scorpion back box might make it loud! lol
when i still had my vtr, i had a 4-2-1 manifold, straight through supersprint center pipe, de-catted with a oem back box and it was pretty quiet, you wouldn't know it had an after market manifold and de-catted straight through exhaust
its the back box which silences most of the sound
