.. is squeaking, I'm guessing that it's the wheel bearing. From what I've heard its a bloody hard job, and I can't afford to spend anymore on the car. So is there anything I can do to reduce the noise, or delay it at all - as I'm hating driving round with the thing making that noise, when the main sound should be the exhaust

#5Bumping my old thread, I know its the wheel bearing now. How much am I looking at for a garage job, just the front passenger side?
Cheers, -
#6Tried brake cleaning stuff as the squeak sounds like its scratching, but still no luck.
- Only starts after driving for a while (5-10mins in)
- Reacts with speed
- Comes and go's
Doing my head in, any ideas?

#7that sounds like your wheel bearing. front bearings are not to much cash and if you know what your doing its not to harder job. rear bearings are more expencive £60ish because they are built into the hub. If your that tight for cash get the haynes manual out. from what I can remember the last time I did a front bearing they cost between £16 -£20 i think

#8Bumping thread again,
