swapping switches?

    alrite how hard would it be to switch the ignition switch at the back of the barrel? i wanted to disconnect the connectors on the orginal one and then plug this other one i got in and turn it with a screw driver or somthing to see it is works cuz didnt wanna take all my barrel out just to find that one was broke aswell could i do it like that?

    Can you get a multi meter to check the switch before fitting it perhaps mate?

    their about a fiver from most cheap car shops. test it that way first as the imobiliser loop wont pickup your key and the car won't start anyway.

    that would stop the dash light coming on would it? i did have a problem where the light flashed a couple times (imobiliser) but i took key out and put back in a was fine still seems like there aint power coming out of the switch tbh and i cant really get to the shop atm so was just gonna try that seenin i had it handy

    I suppose you could try it then? never done it though so i wouldn't know how to get at it all.

    sorted it was the ignition switch that had gone is all working again
