white vtr wheels

   right ive picked myself up a set of vtr wheels and im in the mood for doing them white- i got team dynamics 1.2`s on there atm but just wont a change from black wheels to white- i know powder coating them would be the best way and looks much better then spraying them- but if i was to spray them white do you reckon they will look good enough for a few months or will they start to flake off in like a few days lol thanks

   if done right theyll look good mate, i did mine last year and are still looking good

   Use white hammerite spray paint, £10ish for halfrauds, that stuff is very strong. Lasts longer than lacqured normal paint.

   Very messy to use though. It's really thick and is easy to go wrong with it.
   
   Ideally you need heavy coat's with Hammerite Smooth Aerosol to get a good glossy smooth finish - but because it's so thick it run's easy aswell.

   £50 a wheel maybe everywhere charges different prices mate

    yeah i know a guy that does it for £45 pound a wheel- but im not having vtr wheels on there that long as will get bored of then soon as prob go back to 1.2`s lol but didnt wanna spray them if it be no good- but a few people said it be fine - although powder coating would be the better way of doing it

    If you aint keeping them on for long just spray paint em and see if you want to keep em on...you could always have em powder coated when you decide if its what you want.

    They will look much better and the quality of the finish will be far superior compared to your 1.2s.. Just to remind you i do have cash waiting lol

    Do um black mate, stealth look , black and white look crap in my opinion, too common.

    there's a place up in rugby that does powdercoating of wheels for £25 per wheel, compared to places round here wanting £45 - i ended up going up to rugby twice (drop off and pick up a week later) used about a tank of petrol in total and still ended up cheaper

    that's the place i went to, had vtr alloys done which were badly curbed, the lip was knackered, and i didnt want to pay for a full refurb. The guy had them blasted, gave them a going over with a sander and then they were coated. Most the curbing had gone which i was pretty pleased about

    i did mine with some primer and alloy spray all from halfords (done it on the cheap TBH) and ive had to do them again today as the was flaking but like what others have said if done properly they will last long time

    yeah only want them on about 3 months tbh as the wheels coming off are too good to be sittign around lol- but as said by the other guy he knows a cheap place- i dont mind paying a £100 for powder coating but not 180 lol how long did yours last before they started to flake of ?

    yes i think i ave m8 white like urs but im gna get sum black rim tape for the outside wen dats all dun ave to meet n take loads of pics
