Do spark plugs give a noticible improvement to acceleration or not?

#2Indeed they do - your car won't go anywhere without them.

#4Spark plugs won't make any difference on a 1.1
Don't waste your time trying to make a 1.1 faster, if you want more power find a different engine. -
#6if the oil needs changing yea...
if its not been done for a few years/shit load of miles, yea... -
#7Just maintain it mate.Quote:ok, would you advise an oil change or is it not really nescscary..
Get a panel filter for the airbox.
Some NGK R plugs and regularly change the Oil.
But seriously there's no point spending money on upgrade parts on a 1.1 unless you bought a Manifold with the intention to eventually buying a VTR lump. Even that though won't make much difference. -

#9bTW you can find cheap and cherrful service kits on ebay, you will ned to buy oil seperately though (10/40 semi synth will be fine). Oh and don't forget the square drive for the sump plug so you can get it off.

#10Spark plugs, oil, oil filter, fuel filter etc are all general service items and should be maintained appropriately, don't expect to gain a performance increase by changing them, unless they've not been changed since the car was new, in which case you'll notice a slight gain, but nothing over what it should be standard.
